I don’t think they even teach cursive handwriting in school anymore. I know when they taught me I didn’t have the coordination to master it. It should still be taught, but only to those who want to learn. And we need some way of telling when a person is ready, and we need a good way of teaching it. I’m sure both exists, but I don’t know what they are.
Cursive is definitely becoming a lost art form. Maybe it’ll become as specialized as calligraphy. If handwriting had been taught like an art class when I was learning it, it would have been a lot more fun.
