33rd Annual McIntosh Apple Day. Hamilton, MT. Saturday, October 6, 2012
I have been waiting and hoping for McIntosh apples (better known as The Best Possible Apple You Will Find Commercially) with NO LUCK.
I suppose it was a bad year for them or something, and I’ll be stuck eating Fujis or one of those modern tasteless varieties instead.
I hate living in a part of the world where there’s effectively no orcharding.
Yeah, there was a frost earlier in the year which zonked out part of the crop. I knew things were going to sell out fast, so I got there early.
Most of the store-bought apples seemed unusually flavorless this year for some reason.
What — no ponies???
