Postcard #298 – Tea from Poland

Drinking tea, of course, is not universal in all cultures, but how people drink tea is  fascinating in itself. It may differ in the details depending on which country you are in, but in many cases it’s a ritual or a quiet and contemplative time in the day. And even if it’s done with other people, it’s not part of raucous gatherings. Seriously, can you imagine anyone drinking tea at a rock concert let alone a rave?

Anyways, I find this European black tea service unusual. Weren’t western tea sets usually white ones? Or at least ones in bright colors?
